I began my “Bridge” series in 2015, utilizing the concept of a bridge as a metaphor for an individual’s physical and spiritual journey. The bridge is not only the vehicle or tool that leads to a personal destination; it represents the process of hard work in building and creating as well.

In years to come, I took a bit of a break from this series as I explored other urban landscapes. However, I felt it calling me back for my first solo exhibition and this time with an even deeper, more personal, and piercing revelation. The bridge had come to represent the connection and journey to the relationship I have desired with my father and also with the family for which I long.
